Nalanda OBA Melbourne Donates AUD $10,000 to the Nalanda Centenary Building Project
Celebrating a Century of Excellence
Nalanda College, Colombo, has proudly served generations of students for over 100 years, nurturing knowledge, discipline, and community spirit. To mark this milestone, the Nalanda Centenary Building Project was launched — an initiative aimed at enhancing the school’s facilities for future generations of Nalandians.
A Gesture of Gratitude and Support
With the generous support of our members and well-wishers, Nalanda OBA Melbourne is thrilled to announce a donation of AUD $10,000 to this important project. The cheque was formally presented during the Nalanda Centenary Gala Dinner Dance at the Hilton Hotel, Colombo, to the Principal of Nalanda College and the Centenary Building Committee.
Representing the Melbourne alumni community, Dr. Manjula Kulathunga, a 2025 Committee Member of ONAA, handed over the donation, symbolizing the ongoing connection between Nalandians in Australia and their alma mater in Sri Lanka.
Investing in the Next Generation
This contribution reflects more than financial support — it embodies our dedication to the growth and future of Nalanda College. By supporting the Centenary Building Project, we are helping to ensure that Nalanda’s proud traditions of learning, service, and community continue to inspire generations to come.
Thank You to Our Supporters
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all members, donors, and supporters whose generosity made this possible. Your commitment ensures that Nalanda’s legacy of excellence will remain vibrant and influential for many years ahead.
