Colonel Henry Steel Olcott Memorial Cricket Tournament 2026: Cricket, Community and Colours
On Monday, 26th January 2026, Livingston Recreation Reserve in Cranbourne East came alive for the Colonel Henry Steel Olcott Memorial Cricket Tournament 2026. From 9.00 AM onwards it was cricket, community, and pure tournament vibes, with Nalanda proudly among the schools on the field. 🏏
A Tournament in Colonel Olcott’s Name
The tournament brings together the old boys’ associations of the Buddhist schools founded in the wake of Colonel Henry Steel Olcott’s work in Sri Lanka. Playing cricket in his memory, thousands of kilometres from Colombo, is a fitting way to honour a man whose legacy still connects all of us.
Organised Together
The day was organised jointly by the participating old boys’ associations in Victoria, with Nalanda taking its place alongside fellow schools. A big thank you to every association and volunteer who put in the work to make the day run smoothly.
Flags, Energy and a Ground Alive
The call went out to bring your flags and bring the energy, and the Nalanda family delivered. Families, supporters, and players filled the reserve, and the ground stayed alive from the first match of the morning through to the last.
