Nalanda College (Sinhala: නාලන්දා විද්යාලය) is a Buddhist school in Sri Lanka that provides primary and secondary education for boys.
The school was founded by Patrick de Silva Kularatne as an offshoot of Ananda College, Colombo, and was officially registered as a separate institution on the 1st of November 1925.
Our inaugural meeting took place on 23rd of March 1991, attended by nineteen alumni of Nalanda College, held at Namal de alwis’ residence, in North Dandenong. We were registered as Old Nalandians Association of Australia Inc. on 3rd January 1994, under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981.
Mission statement: To foster fellowship among old Nalandians residing in Australia, while assisting Nalanda College and other worthy charities in Australia and Sri Lanka.

Nalanda motto is අපදාන සෝභිනී පඤ්ඤා (Apadana Sobhini Panna), while the school name Nalanda was proposed by Ven. Balangoda Ananda Maitreya Thero.
The English and Sinhala translations are “Character illumines Wisdom” and “Yahapath Charithayen Praggnawa Opanangwe”, respectively.
